How to Sponsor a Horse!

First, you will need to decide if you want to make a one-time donation or a continual monthly donation. Next, you can browse through our available horses, then you simply let us know which horse you'd like to sponsor. It is that simple!

On average, we spend between $1,500 and $2,000 on every horse that enters our gates before it is ready to adopt and it costs about $500/month to care for one horse on our property.

Your gift to this program is an opportunity to see your generosity impact a specific member of our herd, and it helps us prepare that horse to find its adoptive home.

You will have recognition through our Facebook page monthly with an update on the horse you choose to sponsor. For donors that sponsor a horse for at least $100/month, we can arrange a monthly visit with the horse you have chosen.

Sponsorship levels vary and are customizable, no amount is too small to help the horses in our care. This is an affordable way to make an impact and help us care for the wonderful animals here at the rescue.

We have horses in rehab, resident horses, and those that are available for adoption. Each of these horses requires a minimum standard of care. To give you a rough idea, we have broken down some of the more routine care costs. which includes the following:

Farrier (every 6-8 weeks) – $50-60

Equine dentist (every 6-12 months) – $80-120

Wormer (every 6-9 weeks) – Between $10 to $16

Bag of feed – $15 (lasts 3-5 days)

Fly Spray (bottle) – $12 a bottle

1 dose of antibiotic – $6, including needle and syringe

1 dose of pain medicine: Bute – $3, Banamine – about $10

Vaccines (Annual EEE, WNV, etc.) – $24

Annual Coggins – $35
